Lotus
I visited India in January 2020. It was an amazing experience and I absorbed many sights, sounds, smells, sensations. In the hills of Munnar, Kerala in South India, I took a photograph of a beautiful lotus flower, inspiring me to make this collection. For the ring, I have simplified the petals doming 4 equilateral silver triangles, and a domed yellow gold circle inlayed with small silver circles represents the receptacle of the lotus. The receptacle transforms into a seed pod when the petals fall off, and to compliment the ring I have made a pendant with a domed silver piece inlayed with 13 smaller yellow gold inverted domes. It can be worn either side as the back is as interesting as the front.
