Type of Modern Language

A neckpiece incorporating 30 new words/acronyms/existing words with a new meaning, all reflecting modern technology/politics/society, as a reminder of this time in history. I chose a lexicon of popular, new spoken and written words from over the last decade and right up-to-date. (I imagined explaining these words to my granny who died aged 96 in 2002.) In juxtaposition, I used old-school typewriter font stamped onto strips of silver and attached, page-like, with black and red ribbon symbolizing inked typewriter ribbon. The connecting toggle allows the ribbons to continue and newly coined words can be added to the existing neckpiece. It is stamped with an ellipsis, hinting at what is yet to come...
